Pakistani Tekken star Arslan Ash has claimed his eighth EVO title at EVO 2026 in Las Vegas on Sunday, winning the Tekken 8 tournament to become the most decorated player in history.
Ash defeated South Korea’s Rangchu 3-2 in the finals, playing as Nina Williams. He had earlier beaten Rangchu 3-1 in the winners finals and eliminated LowHigh 3-1 in the winners semi-finals.
Ash, whose real name is Arslan Siddique, was born in Lahore on August 20, 1995. He first played Tekken 4 at a local arcade at the age of eight. He currently represents Twisted Minds.
His EVO titles span two generations of Tekken. He won four titles in Tekken 7, at EVO Japan 2019, EVO Las Vegas 2019, EVO Japan 2023, and EVO Las Vegas 2023. He then added three more in Tekken 8, winning EVO Las Vegas 2024, EVO Las Vegas 2025, and EVO France 2025 in October 2025.
In February 2026, Ash announced he had relocated to Japan to establish it as his primary base for professional competition and training, citing easier access to international tournaments.
He stated that he would continue to represent Pakistan in international events.
The victory also secured Ash a spot at the Tekken World Tour Finals and a direct qualification to the Esports World Cup 2026 Tekken 8 tournament in Paris, a $1 million event running August 4 to 7.
Earlier this year, Ash won the Player of the Year award at the EVO Awards 2026 for his achievements in the 2025 season.
