Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, model and influencer Georgina Rodríguez on Tuesday in a civil ceremony in Portugal.
The couple tied the knot in Cascais, a coastal town near Lisbon, according to media reports. Ronaldo then shared a photo on Instagram showing two hands wearing wedding rings.
The post quickly attracted millions of likes, reflecting huge global interest in the couple’s relationship.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez have been together since 2016 after meeting at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodríguez worked as a sales assistant while the football star played for Real Madrid at the time.
The couple announced their engagement on August 11, 2025, after years together. Rodríguez shared a photo of her engagement ring on Instagram with the caption, “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.”
Ronaldo and Rodríguez have five children in their family. Ronaldo also has a son, Cristiano Jr., from a previous relationship. The couple welcomed their daughter Alana Martina in 2017 and later had twins in 2022. Their son Ángel died shortly after birth, while their daughter Bella Esmeralda survived.
Ronaldo, 41, remains one of football’s most decorated players. He has represented Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al Nassr and Portugal during his career and has scored more than 900 senior career goals.
The Portuguese forward has also represented Portugal at six FIFA World Cups, a record he shares with Argentina captain Lionel Messi.
