Esports World Cup 2026 delivered a strong day for Pakistani esports on Thursday, with the country’s Tekken 8 contingent and PUBG Mobile squad both putting up standout results in Paris.
As per the details, nine Pakistani players entered the Tekken 8 group stage at EWC 2026, spread across four opening pools.
Group AA and Group BB played out on August 5, while Group CC and Group DD followed on August 6.
By the time the dust settled on Thursday, seven of the nine had booked their place in Group Stage 2, namely Qasim Meer and Arslan Ash from Group AA, The Jon from Group BB, Usama Abbasi and Numan Ch from Group CC and Farzeen and M Zubair from Group DD.
Pakistan’s momentum carried over into the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026, also running as part of EWC 2026 as all 16 teams in Group A played six matches across Rondo, Erangel and Miramar, and 4Thrives Esports finished the day on top of the leaderboard with 59 points.
