After the teasers of Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly’s latest drama, Ye Dil Mera created frenzy on social media – the play was being compared to 50 Shades of Grey! – the writer and director of the play came forward with their explanations and said that the drama serial will be a romantic thriller and that one should wait for it to release before passing criticism.

Award-winning writer Farhat Ishtiaq who penned the script of the serial said that she would never “romanticise sexual harassment.”

Farhat also shared that the script is original and nothing she has ever written before.

Director Aehsun Talish while speaking to Hum TV about the teaser’s feedback said, “Well, let the critics say what they need to as that’s the ambiguity created by the teasers and they are playing their part well.”

Shedding light on the plot, Talish said, “Ye Dil Mera is a romantic thriller, a story that unfolds layers and layers of memories of the past beneath the calm and sweet love story.”

Meanwhile, Farhat also shared a new poster of the serial which also features Adnan Siddiqui.
