Pakistan Cricket Team’s newly appointed head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq will reportedly earn Rs 2.8 million (28 lakhs) per month for his dual role.
The Pakistan Cricket Board on Wednesday appointed Misbah as head coach and chief selector in all three formats on a three-year contract. It is the first time that the head coach will also be the chief selector – the cricket board is following the system being used in New Zealand.
Meanwhile, former chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq reportedly earned Rs 1.6 million (16 lakhs) per month for his role.
Misbah is Pakistan’s most successful Test captain with 26 wins in 56 Tests and 11 draws. He played 75 Tests, 162 one-day internationals and 39 T20 matches for Pakistan.
