Islamabad United head coach Luke Ronchi clashed with a reporter during a heated post-match press conference in Karachi on Thursday, after his side fell to Rawalpindi in Match 34 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026.

Tensions were already running high when a female journalist began asking a question. A reporter sitting behind her cut in, speaking out of turn and disrupting the flow of the session.

Ronchi told the reporter to stop. When the interruption continued, he snapped, “He can ask a question, I don’t give a shit.” A media official stepped in, asked the reporter to wait his turn, and restored order in the room.

The mood reflected how the evening had gone for Islamabad United. Ronchi’s side won the toss and chose to bat but never found rhythm, losing wickets at regular intervals and failing to build partnerships. They posted just 137 runs in 20 overs.

Rawalpindiz chased the target down with intent, capitalising on the modest total and some loose bowling. They chased with 11 balls to spare to record their first PSL 2026 win.
