Actor Omer Shahzad and his wife Shanzay Lodhi have welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Ismail, into the family, announcing the news in a joint Instagram post.
Shanzay shared a carousel of photos with a caption about the birth. “24 hours of labour pain, tears, prayers, and a strength we never knew we had. A journey that tested me physically and filled my husband’s heart with emotions he could never put into words,” she wrote in the caption.
“I found the deepest strength I never knew I had while my husband stood beside me, feeling every moment with me. And we finally held the little miracle we had been waiting for,” she wrote.
She closed the caption with, “In that one moment, all the pain faded … our hearts overflowed with love, and everything became worth it. Alhamdulillah.”
The couple married last year at Masjid al-Nabawi in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. They then performed Umrah and shared memories from Masjid al-Haram in Makkah.
