Ahmed Ali Butt’s take on the Aurat March and the slogan ‘Mera Jism Meri Marzi‘ has elicited strong reactions from all around. While there are some who agree with his comments that the Aurat March is a “foreign-funded movement”, others are calling him out for his ignorance and misuse of privilege.

Among those criticising Butt is Osman Khalid Butt who has been vocally advocating for the Aurat March on social media. Osman threw shade at his fellow actor without taking his name.

Like I already said yesterday in my interview that I support women rights & woman March because I was raised by strong independent women in my family. I only disagree with irrelevant, borrowed slogans coz they are against our society & religion. They insult men to the point where I fear the institution of family can get effected which will cause further division & anarchy that our country can't afford We should USE BETTER SLOGANS TO RAISE ACTUAL ISSUES like, Rape, Mental /Physical abuse, Child marriage, Child abuse, Honor killing, Harassment, Violence, Acid burning, Equal rights/Discrimination, Equal pay, Working Conditions, Education, Marriage /Divorce rights We must include all genders & age groups to practically work on implementation of some great existing women rights in Islam & Constitution. We also need to work on New legislation / laws to help those in most vulnerable situation. We need to be tolerant & respect basic human rights of every gender like free speech & having a different opinion without calling them Misogynist, bigot or narrowminded. Misandry / prejudice against men must stop too if we want equality. I like to thank everyone who stepped forward and supported me and to people who disagree, that's your right and I will always respect that. Thanks
