Pakistan finished as runners-up at the Asia Pacific Padel Cup (APPC) 2026 in Manila after losing the final to the Philippines at the Play Padel McKinley in Taguig City.
As per the details, the Philippines retained their title with wins across all three professional matches, completing a dominant display to be crowned back-to-back champions.
In the men’s professional final, LA Canizares and Jason Tamayo Lapidus defeated Abdullah Adnan and Muhammad Salar. The women’s final saw Joanna Tao Yee Tan and Marian Capadocia beat Aqsa Khalid and Meheq Khokhar.
In the mixed final, Marian Capadocia and Jason Tamayo Lapidus defeated Muhammad Salar and Sheeza Sajid.
Jason Tamayo Lapidus won the men’s MVP award while Joanna Tao Yee Tan claimed the women’s MVP honour.
Pakistan also finished as runners-up in the amateur category, losing to Taiwan in the amateur final.
Pakistan’s run to the professional final was built on strong group-stage performances. They opened with a 5-0 win over South Korea and followed it with another 5-0 victory over Thailand. They lost 4-1 to the Philippines in the group stage but recovered to beat India 3-2 to finish second and advance to the knockouts.
In the semi-finals, they beat India 3-0 to reach the final.
The tournament was held from June 25 to 28, and featured seven nations across professional and amateur divisions. The Philippines entered as defending champions and leave Manila with back-to-back titles.
