The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has initiated talks with the Argentina Football Association (AFA) over a potential friendly match and a bilateral development programme, with both sides agreeing to continue work on formalising the arrangements.

According to reports, initial discussions between officials from both federations took place online, covering the possibility of a friendly match as well as a coaching and development exchange.

The two sides discussed holding the friendly after the FIFA World Cup, and both federations agreed to take the matter forward before any final decisions are made.

If the remaining details are finalised, the match could take place later this year.

The talks also covered a coaching development programme under which Argentine football coaches would visit Pakistan to work with local players and technical staff.
