Pakistan have reached the semi-finals of the men’s volleyball event at the Asian Games in Japan after beating India 3-0 in the quarter-final on Thursday.

Pakistan won the match in straight sets, taking the first 25-19 and the second 25-23. They closed out the match with a 25-18 win in the third set. The match lasted one hour and 20 minutes.

Pakistan scored 75 points in total, while India managed 60.

Pakistan did most of their damage at the net. They won 50 points on spikes, compared with 33 for India. Pakistan also led in blocking, earning six points to India’s four.

Murad Khan led Pakistan with 22 points. He scored 21 of them on spikes and added one on serve. Usman Farhad contributed nine points, Hammad scored eight, and Musawar Khan added seven.

Pakistan have now moved on to the last four of the competition.
