Pakistan has won the team title at the 21st World Youth Scrabble Championship in Nairobi, securing the crown for the seventh time.
The Pakistani contingent finished first in the team event and collected the highest number of trophies at the championship.
Three Pakistani players secured places among the top 10 in the individual standings. Ahmed Salman won the Under-16 world title, while Ahad Saulat Fatemi claimed the Under-14 championship.
Mustafa Farhan finished second in the Under-12 category, narrowly missing the top spot but still adding another result to Pakistan’s campaign.
Pakistan’s youngest player Taimur Waseem also won a world title, claiming the Under-10 championship.
Taimur had already made his mark at last year’s event, where he won the Under-8 world title.
Australia’s Dainth Fernando won the overall individual world championship.
The tournament featured 183 players from 11 countries.
