Pakistani footballer Abdul Momin Muzammil has secured an invitation to a one-week Under-17 training camp in Spain this October after catching the eye of FC Barcelona scouts at the official Barça Academy Camp in Indonesia.
The 15-year-old trained alongside players in the U17 age group despite being younger than most of his teammates at the camp. His performances during the sessions impressed the scouts on hand, leading to the offer for the Spain camp in October.
He shared the news on his Instagram account. Momin currently plays for TWK.
The Barça Academy Camp is FC Barcelona’s official youth football programme, open to boys and girls aged 8 to 18, designed to teach participants the club’s methodology and values.
Earlier, Pakistan Under-17 captain Abdul Samad Khan signed a two-year contract with Qarabağ FK, one of Azerbaijan’s most successful clubs.
The midfielder will join Qarabağ’s youth setup, representing the club’s Under-17 and Under-19 sides as he continues game development. Samad earned the move after impressing Qarabağ’s scouts during matches against Azerbaijan’s Under-17 and Under-20 national teams earlier this year.
The club subsequently invited him for a trial, where he impressed the coaching staff over several days of sessions before the club finalised the deal.
