A Pakistani fan just made the most of a chance encounter with Hollywood actor and retired WWE legend John Cena at an event in the United States (US), walking away with a heartfelt video message for Cena’s fans back home.
Abu Huraira Khan Suri, who introduced himself to Cena as being from Pakistan, told the 17-time world champion that he had followed his journey for years and that even without WWE ever visiting Pakistan, Cena’s message still reached fans there.
He then asked Cena for a word for his Pakistani supporters, and whether he would ever consider running for president.
Cena, visibly appreciating the effort Suri had made, responded warmly. “I think you’re a great representative of the gratitude I have for fans all over the world,” he told Suri.
“So, for all the fans, anything that I’ve ever done would resonate for anyone in Pakistan. Thank you so much.”
On the presidential question, Cena kept it brief. “I’m retired,” he said with a smile.
The video clip quickly drew reactions online, with fans flooding the comments section. “My childhood dream that will still stay a dream,” wrote one user.
Others simply expressed their love for the WWE legend.
It is not the first time a Pakistani fan has made the journey to the US to connect with Cena.
In 2016, 18-year-old Tanzil ur Rehman from Pakistan, who suffers from muscular dystrophy, met Cena through the Make-A-Wish Foundation and attended a live WWE RAW event on July 4, gifting the superstar a Sindhi topi and ajrak as souvenirs from Pakistan.
Tanzil later described it as the “most memorable 45 minutes” of his life.
Cena retired from in-ring competition in December 2025 after a 23-year WWE career.
