Maya Ali is amongst the most successful actresses of her generation, with blockbuster films and dramas in her kitty, the Parey Hut Love actress enjoys a transnational popularity. Post the success of Man Mayal, Maya was flooded with film offers from both Pakistan and India however her Bollywood debut never took off.
The Teefa in trouble star, was invited in Chennai, India to audition for a Bollywood movie opposite Akshay Kumar in 2016 which never got made. Maya was accompanied with Khuda Aur Mohabbat fame Sadia Khan, who also had a meeting with the team.
Maya was offered another Akshay Kumar film, Rustom but the Indo-Pak turmoil resulted in Pakistani actors getting banned in India and hence the makers roped in Barfi fame Ileana D’cruz for the role. It was also speculated that Maya refused the film as it had an extra marital affair angle in the script.
Maya is currently being seen on Anjum Shahzad’s Pehli Si Muhabbat opposite Sheheryar Munawar.
