Actors Muneeb Butt and Mathira have voiced their opinion on the slap scene showcased in the drama serial Laapata. In the video, husband (Danyal) slaps wife (Falak) and she slaps him back with a warning to break his hands if he’ll think of doing that again.
“Why is violence zaruri?, In any relationship that has domestic violence involved from the girl or a boy, simply leave it because this is how toxic relationships work”, commented Mathira.

Earlier, actor Gohar Rasheed wrote a long note for abusive men who think that physically abusing women is fine. Written and directed by Khizer Idrees, Laapata also features Ayeza Khan and Ali Rehman Khan.
