Arsenal have clinched their first Premier League title in 22 years, after Manchester City drew 1-1 against Bournemouth, handing Mikel Arteta’s side an unassailable lead at the top of the table.
The triumph sparked mass celebrations across North London as supporters poured out to mark the end of a 22-year wait for league glory.
Star winger Bukayo Saka hit back at the club’s critics, saying, “They’re not laughing at us anymore.”
Former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart also paid tribute to the Gunners, saying, it’s a great achievement to finally dethrone the holders and lift the trophy.
Despite losing the title, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola praised his players for their efforts throughout the season. “We fought all the way until the very end,” he said.
The title is Arsenal’s 14th top-flight championship and their first league trophy since the iconic unbeaten “Invincibles” campaign of 2003-04, capping off a remarkable season for Arteta and his squad.
