Senior journalist and host of Talk Shock, Azaz Syed, said on Tuesday that he had been served two notices by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) within two days, vowing to appear before the agency despite saying that the notices contained no clear allegations against him.

In a post on X, Syed said the notices had been issued “within a short span of two days” but did not specify the allegations against him.

“I was served two notices by the NCCIA within a short span of two days, despite the fact that neither notice contains any clear allegations,” he wrote.

Syed said he would appear before the agency on Tuesday, describing himself as a “law-abiding citizen”.

“As a law-abiding citizen, I will appear before the NCCIA today,” he said.

The NCCIA is Pakistan’s federal agency responsible for investigating cybercrime and offences involving digital technologies.

Syed concluded the post by writing: “Thank you, Mr. Mohsin Naqvi.”

The post did not identify the case, explain why the notices had been issued, or provide any additional details about the matter.
