Mike Tyson’s Wife Lakiha Spicer: A Closer Look at Her Life

Lakiha Spicer is Mike Tyson's supportive wife. Tyson once said his relationship with Spicer “was a life-saving experience.” Laikha Spicer was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on June 11, 1977. She is an entrepreneur, author, and businesswoman. Spicer comes from an African-American Muslim family. Her father, Shamsuddin Ali, is a noted boxing fan. 

Lakiha Spicer is the third wife of former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson. She owns a clothing boutique and co-wrote The Undisputed Truth, a show about Mike's life that launched in August 2012 and won two awards.  Let’s take a closer look at her life!

How the Couple Met?

In 2012, The New York Post described Spicer's opinion on her relationship with Tyson as “like a moth to a flame.” According to reports, Spicer met Tyson at a boxing match when he was just 18 years old. It was around the same time his father took him to the event. They eventually started dating five years later.

“We would separate emotionally so I could work. However, then we would get back together. He's the only man I have been able to fall back in love with on countless occasions,” she stated. “I genuinely never believed I could escape him, and believe me, I would, but it just so happens that I never could.”

When Did Mike Tyson and Lakiha Spicer Marry?

According to the reports, the wedding occurred on June 6, 2009. The couple married on this date without informing anyone else. Tyson and Spicer are said to have renewed their vows on what was supposed to be a joint birthday party for the couple around mid-June 2011.

A few hours before the surprise renewal on X (formerly known as Twitter), he mentioned, “My wife and I are getting ready to host friends and family tonight. Many of them we haven't seen in years. It's going to be a great night. "

Lakiha Spicer is the Mother of Two

The couple had their first daughter together, Milan, on December 15, 2008. Later, they welcomed their son, Morocco, to the family on January 25, 2011. 

Parker was welcomed into the family with mixed emotions. Upon his birth, Mike and Kiki were happy but had their share of stress as well. Kiki and Mike welcomed him into the Tyson family. 

Like her father, Milan is already a passionate athlete. She voraciously follows tennis through the lens of her idols, Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams, Tyson’s favorite players. Tyson cheers for his daughter. This brings him joy in a different way than he’s used to. With Spencer around, he loves to travel as well. 

Tyson told USA Today, “Spencer and I overlook a few grandchildren, and baseball never crossed our minds until now.” He added, “To fly across the country is astonishing, and I’m just pleased I can finally walk out of my house." 

“I do not fully grasp what’s going on. But the fact that she put in effort for tennis is commendable, which brings me in to help support her and makes me thrilled.” Tyson said.

Morocco currently resides in Florida, where he plays golf and runs track. Moreover, Milan is said to be training with an elite coach in France.
