Jim Acosta Takes a Stand Against Trump. Will CNN Move Him to Late Night?

Jan 23

Jim Acosta became a prominent figure as CNN’s chief White House correspondent because of his often aggressive tone against President Trump and his press secretaries. He was later promoted to weekend anchoring and then to weeknight anchoring. Previous CNN administrations valued Jim Acosta’s ongoing conflicts with the first Trump administration. However, the current one is determined to defuse the situation.

Jim Acosta used this opportunity to discuss various complex topics and address every concern that might be raised by critics of the press today. His news item arose from Biden’s statement during the live television session on his way to the White House exit. As always, CNN is a big fan of putting out posters professing its ‘CNN values’ to convey its brand’s moral superiority over everyone else.

While addressing the worries that some have about the direction taken by democracy today, CNN primarily took charge of the traditional media in America. Jim Acosta used this courtesy to force intricate answers to tackle every topic and mitigate evidence that can be used against the supporters of journalism today. He has tried to use whatever evidence he has to support today’s agenda.

Is CNN Preparing to Shift Him to Late Night?

Jim Acosta is considering the offer made by CNN Chairman and Chief Executive Mark Thompson to give up daytime and relocate to Los Angeles for a two-hour evening newscast that starts at midnight Eastern time.

He has not yet decided whether or not to accept the assignment, according to his acquaintances who were not permitted to speak on the record. However, he has been reassured by CNN that relocating to Los Angeles is not something that is going to be enforced. Moreover, the new program can be created out of Washington, where he resides with his family.

If CNN decides to implement such a change, some will view it as a way to please President Trump by reducing the expected profile of a journalist who has become well-known for reporting on the Trump administration far too aggressively. According to his close associates, Jim Acosta is expected to depart the network if he decides to decline the offer.

When Acosta worked as a White House correspondent, he became perhaps one of Trump's most vehement critics. The White House suspended his press credentials following a heated argument with Trump during a news conference in November 2018.
