Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi has received invitations to attend the International Cricket Council (ICC) board meeting in Ahmedabad and the Indian Premier League (IPL) final, but the decision on whether he travels to India rests with Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif.
The ICC will hold its meetings in two stages this month. The Chief Executives Committee will meet virtually on May 21, followed by a full board meeting on May 30 and 31 in Ahmedabad, India.
Key items on the agenda include proposed changes to the World Test Championship (WTC) format.
Under the current structure, teams must play a minimum of two Test matches in each series. The board will also consider expanding the WTC to include Zimbabwe, Ireland and Afghanistan.
Naqvi has been invited to both the ICC board meeting and the IPL final, but his attendance hinges on a green light from the Prime Minister.
