Pakistan have reached the final of the men’s team squash event at the Asian Games in Nagoya after beating Hong Kong 2-1 in the semi-final.
As per the details, Noor Zaman gave Hong Kong the lead in the opening match. He won the first game 12-10 against Lau Tsz Kwan, but Lau took the next three games 11-3, 11-6 and 11-5.
Muhammad Ashab Irfan levelled the tie. He beat Leung Chi Hin Henry in straight games, 11-5, 13-11 and 11-7, in 23 minutes.
Nasir Iqbal then sealed the win in the deciding match against Lai Cheuk Nam. Iqbal lost the first game 12-10, then won the next three games 11-3, 11-9 and 14-12.
Pakistan will play either India or Malaysia in the gold medal match on Friday.
