Pakistan hockey team on Wednesday secured its place in the semi-finals of the Men’s U18 Asia Cup 2026 after defeating Bangladesh 5-2 in their final group stage match held Kakamigahara, Japan.
Abdullah Awan led the scoreboard with two goals, while Haider Isam, Muhammad Yahya and Adeel added one each to seal the victory.
Pakistan had opened their campaign with a commanding 3-0 win over China on May 30, with Muhammad Usman and Adeel on the scoresheet before Yasir Salman sealed it late. They then suffered a 3-2 defeat to Malaysia on May 31, but recovered to finish their group stage on a winning note against Bangladesh.
The semi-final is scheduled for June 5, with the final and third-place playoff to follow on June 6.
