Paul Heyman has dismissed rumours of Brock Lesnar’s retirement, insisting that the 48-year-old will dominate professional wrestling for another 15 years despite an emotional exit at WrestleMania 42.

Lesnar lost to rising star Oba Femi in just four minutes and 42 seconds on Sunday. After the defeat, he placed his gloves and boots in the centre of the ring, embraced Heyman, and waved to the capacity crowd before walking away. For many watching, the symbolism was impossible to ignore.

Speculation had been building for some time. Lesnar, who has dominated professional wrestling for over two decades, had already hinted at his future during a recent interview with Barstool Sports, saying he would only be with the company for a “short time.”

Heyman, speaking to a media outlet after the event, shut down the retirement narrative firmly. When asked about his vision going forward, he did not hesitate. “What’s my vision? Another 15 years of dominance by Brock Lesnar,” he said.

When the reporter pressed him on the retirement rumours, Heyman’s responses grew more pointed.

“Why are you pushing this whole retirement thing? You actually read what is posted online and take it seriously. This is part of the great political divide in this country, isn’t it, that people actually take seriously irrelevant opinions,” he said.

He made clear whose opinion he felt mattered. “There’s only one relevant opinion, and it’s mine. And mine is that Brock Lesnar dominates the next 15 years,” Heyman added.
