A woman has alleged that a private record writer sexually assaulted her inside Saddar Police Station in Muzaffargarh.
The suspect, identified as Junaid, allegedly summoned the woman on the pretext of a medical examination and raped her inside a room adjacent to the police station.
The complainant is already pursuing another rape case (FIR 864/25 under Section 376).
She first recorded a video statement in which she accused Junaid of assaulting her on the premises of the police station.
However, she later made a second video that contained contradictory information, raising questions about the incident.
Two police officers were suspended after being accused because they allowed a private citizen to operate within the station.
The District Police Officer ordered the immediate registration of a case based on the woman’s complaint.
DSP City is in charge of the inquiry, while authorities confirmed that CCTV footage is being checked.
Police emphasized that the investigation will be conducted on merit.
Under the Anti-Rape Act, legal action will be taken against the complainant if the allegation is found to be false.
The suspect, Junaid, is currently in police custody.
