Royal Enfield Scram 440: The New Powerhouse in the Off-Road World

Royal Enfield has introduced its new Scrum 440. Royal Enfield Scram 440 is the successor to its existing Scrum 411. In this new bike has several important changes made that improve its performance and design.

 

Engine and Performance 

 

443 cc single cylinder in Scrum 440, an air-cooled engine is installed that produces 25.4 bhp (at 6,250 rpm) and 34 Nm of torque (at 4,000 rpm). It delivers 4.5% more power and 6.5% more torque as compared to the previous model. The engine is joined to a 6-speed gearbox that provides less vibration and better fuel efficiency on the highway.

 

In addition, to make the clutch more durable and to reduce lever effort by 0.75 kg a pull-type clutch is introduced.

 

Suspension and Braking System

 

In the suspension setup, 43mm telescopic forks (190mm travel) and a mono-shock (180mm travel) are included. It provides better performance in both on-road and off-road situations.

 

The braking system includes a 300mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc. It also comes with a switchable dual-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System).

 

Design and Features 

 

The design of the Scrum 440 is similar to the previous model, But few modern changes have been made. The headlight clusters are designed again, the tail light and turn indicators are modernized, And '440' graphics are added to the fuel tank.

 

Force Blue, Force Teal, Force Grey, Trail Green, and Trail Blue are added in new colours. In addition type A USB charger and a digital-analogue cluster are also added to the motorcycle. Trapper pode are also added for navigation.

 

Price and Availability 

 

Royal Enfield Scram 440 will be introduced in January 2025. There is a chance of an increase in the price of the Royal Enfield Scram 440 as compared to the previous one. But the new Himalayan 450 will be more affordable than the previous one.
