Senior actor Rashid Mahmood attacked by mob in Rahim Yar Khan

Senior Pakistani actor Rashid Mahmood has been attacked by an unidentified mob at Sheikh Khalifa Bridge in Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab. The assailants also snatched his valuables during the incident.

 

He shared a video statement from Rajanpur, recounting the ordeal. He said, "I was going to pick up my wife when I lost my way at the motorway interchange while heading to Rahim Yar Khan and ended up at Sheikh Khalifa Bridge."

 

Explaining what happened next, he added, "During this time, a motorcycle hit my car, and then the locals started beating me and snatched my valuables, including my identity card."

 

He continued, "The motorcycle hit my car with such force that I was scared. After the accident, everyone on the motorcycle fell to one side, but thankfully, no one was seriously injured."

 

According to Rashid Mahmood, the mob even attempted to abduct him. "They wanted to take me with them by force, but someone there saved my life and informed the police," he said.

 

He concluded, "It felt like the people who were assaulting me were robbers. It was their fault, yet they started beating me up."
