Former UFC interim champion Tony Ferguson has signed a contract with the GFL. This largely means that Tony will move on after more than 11 years and 24 matches in the UFC. After Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone TKO’d Ferguson in 2019, the former UFC champion has not been able to claim a win. As a result, many have been fighting against his bleak future. Ferguson hit a wall in his career after the Abu Dhabi clash, where he succumbed to a loss against Michael Chiesa at the UFC for the eighth consecutive time.

To some, Ferguson’s recent silence could suggest that he implemented some form of semi-retirement. This is offensive, as he is still defending himself. However, he is only using one glove instead of two, which is the traditional indication of retirement.

Tony Ferguson Dropped 4 Times in 10 Seconds by UFC Newcomer

Legend Tony Ferguson “El Cucuy” has secured himself a spot in the UFC Hall of Fame. This came despite him suffering eight different consecutive defeats between the years of 2020 and 2024.

Bloody Elbow wants to take fans on a journey through his legendary 12-fight winning streak, concentrating on the most intense moments of the streak even as rumors swirl about his exit from the UFC.

This is the story of one of the UFC's most incredible comebacks. Tony Ferguson endured four knockdowns within ten seconds before managing to lock in a highly technical choke against a Groovy newcomer.

Thinking back to UFC Night 91 in 2016, where Tony Ferguson was easily slicing through the lightweight class, Ferguson was scheduled to face Michael Chiesa at FN 91 in South Dakota. Vannata entered the Ring after the latter withdrew. He was a newly promoted fighter from New Jersey.

Vannata appeared with a non-traditional attitude. Despite being unfamiliar with the UFC and having a staggering 97% of the people on Tapology predict his loss, he was not nervous in the slightest.
