Noor Zaman has booked his place in the men’s singles semi-finals at the Asian Games 2026, defeating Hong Kong’s Leung Chi Hin Henry 3-1 in the quarter-final.
As per the details, Zaman won the match 11-7, 11-6, 3-11, 11-4, taking control of the first two games before Leung fought back to claim the third.
Zaman regrouped in the fourth to close out the win and secure his semi-final spot, becoming the second Pakistani, after Ashab Irfan, to reach the last four of the event.
With two Pakistani players now through to the semi-finals, Pakistan is guaranteed at least one medal in the men’s singles event at the Games.
Earlier in the day, Ashab Irfan defeated India’s Veer Chotrani 3-1 with a scoreline of 6-11, 11-8, 11-3, 11-3 to book his own place in the last four. Irfan dropped the opening game before finding his rhythm, winning the next three games in convincing fashion.
After the match, Ashab also shook hands with the Indian players in a display of sportsmanship.
Pakistan has already secured bronze in women’s cricket and men’s MMA at the 2026 Asian Games.
