Pakistan will start registering persons aged 19 and above for coronavirus vaccination from today. 

Asad Umar tweeted that National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has decided to open vaccination registration for all citizens aged 19 and above. I’m just happy that I can finally get vaccinated!  

Israel’s Iron Dome accidentally shot down an Israeli military drone when trying to intercept Hamas missiles in the Gaza strip, a representative of the Israel Defence Force (IDF) told local media. 

“As part of the round of fighting in Gaza and as part of the defence of the country’s skies, an IDF skylark drone was shot down by the Iron Dome,” said an IDF spokesperson, adding that the incident is under investigation. 

Skylark drones are unmanned aerial vehicles that the IDF uses for intelligence, surveillance and examination missions. The report also stated that the IDF is now worried and questioning whether the defence system is capable for long-term fighting without harming their resources. 

On this day, Rani, one of the most successful actresses of the subcontinent, died at the age of 46 in 1993. She acted in both Urdu and Punjabi films. She gained success in the late 1960s when she made a hit pair with famous actor and producer Waheed Murad.
